Deciding Between Surgical Solutions and Early Interventions

Our skin is the largest organ of our body, yet we often overlook its care. One major issue we face is sun damage, and by the time we realize it, non-invasive options to fix it might not be enough. There’s a huge variety of products available now – SPF creams, foundations with sun protection, sun creams, and even treatments to repair the damage already done.

Getting enough Vitamin D can really boost your mood. You can even buy special lights that brighten up a room and affect how you feel. But there’s a simpler, cheaper way: just enjoy the sunlight during those rare sunny days in Britain, which we call summer. Many of us believe the sun in the UK isn’t strong enough to harm us, but that’s not true at all. The sun is definitely potent enough to cause damage.

As young adults, when we travel abroad for the first time, we might use sun cream for the first few days, if we even remember to use it at all. Skipping it can lead to a nasty sunburn, leaving us red and sore for the rest of our trip. Not only is a severe sunburn painful, but in the long run, it can leave permanent marks or discoloration on our skin.

Luckily, there are many modern techniques to cover up and treat various skin issues like burns, birthmarks, stretch marks, acne scars, and even to remove unwanted hair. If we tallied up all the money we spend on hair removal over the years, we’d be shocked at the total. Shaving, for instance, requires regular purchases of new razors or razor heads, which adds up.

Threading is a cost-effective hair removal method available now. It might take a bit more time and can be slightly painful, but the results are worth it.

So, from now on, make it a habit to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin every morning, even for the gentlemen. Follow up with makeup that includes SPF or at least use a moisturizer with a high SPF. Aim for products with an SPF of 15 or 25, depending on the weather.

Remember, sun lotions and SPF makeup and moisturizers don’t keep you from getting a nice tan; they simply protect your skin from damage.
